  • 1 green chili,chopped very fine
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds / jeera
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
  • a pinch of asafoetida
  • Oil
  • Salt as needed

  • 1/4 inch cinnamon
  • 2 black peppercorns
  • 1 clove 1 green cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds / saunf
  • 1 teaspoon coriander seeds
  • 2 teaspoon dry pomegranate seeds/ anardana
