water to a boil in a pan. Add rice and 1/2 tsp salt, reduce heat to low, cover and cook till done. Once rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and keep covered till ready to use. (You can also use 3 cups of already cooked, day-old rice. Gently re-heat it up in a loosely covered bowl in the microwave.)
