Ingredients

  • 35 minutes servings
  • 3 cups of white rice (washed and soaked 20 minutes prior to boiling)
  • 1 table spoon salt
  • 1 table spoon Chinese salt
  • 1 teaspoon cooking oil
  • 4 cups of warm watter to a vessel. add salt, and oil. Once the water comes to a boil, add your rice, and cook for 10 minutes on high flame. After 10 minutes lower your flame, cover the lid with a washcloth and simmer the rice for 15 minutes on your lowest flame.
  • 2 pounds of boneless chicken breast or thigh, leg (cut into cubes)
  • 1/2 beaten egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder for color or
  • 2 drops of red food coloring
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Chinese salt
  • 4 tablespoons of cornstarch

  • Ingredients For the gravy
  • 1 medium sized onion
  • 1 tablespoon garlic
  • 1 tablespoon red chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
