  • 1 Small raw jackfruit-comes to 1 1/2 cup when chopped into cubes
  • 2 dried red chillies
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon urad dal
  • 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida
  • 10-12 curry leaves
  • 2 tablespoons shredded coconut
  • A pinch of sugar
  • Salt
  • Oil to temper

  • Method
  • 1. Peel and chop the jackfruit into bite size cubes.Bring a large pot of water to boil.Add cut jackfruit cubes,salt and turmeric powder.Cover and cook till the pieces are soft.Drain and set aside.
