Cardamom CakewithWhiteChocolateandRoseButtercream is a fun and floral celebration cake. Looking back I can see now that it was made with wholemeal flour and rather than being topped withbuttercream, the icing was more of a whitechocolateandrose ganache
Transfer mixture into the stand mixer or with a hand mixer, whip with the whisk attachment until it turns white, glossy and doubles in size and the bottom of the mixing bowl is cool
It is just a simple, elegant, one layer cakewith rich butter andwhitechocolate icing. I topped mine with a few decorations but that was more to jazz it up a little to look more like a special birthday cake – they are certainly not necessary and the cake wouldn’t be left lacking if you decided to omit them
) (With EGG WHITES) In a mixing bowl, add egg whitesand sugar. To create a marble effect, create a paste of chocolateand warm milk and pour in circular motion on the cake
If you’re brave enough to try your hand at Swissmeringuebuttercream frosting instead of a traditional buttercream then your icing will look much smoother (or so I’m told)
Once chilled and set, Frost the outside if the cakewith your whitechocolatebuttercream frosting. Place a teeny bit of buttercream on a cake board and put the first layer of the cake, add a nice amount of whitechocolate for the filling
With moist swirls of chocolateand vanilla cake inside, I made a salted chocolatebuttercream to cover the cake, then a creamy vanilla buttercream to pipe drop flowers withchocolate centers all around the sides and edge of the cake, and vanilla roses in the middle
Place the rest of the orange buttercream in the piping bag and pipe roses over the cake. Using a stand mixer with a whisk attachment, pour hot whites into the room temperature mixer bowl and whip on low speed, gradually increasing to high speed until egg whites double in volume
Add egg whites into the clean bowl, beat egg whites on high, until soft peaks are formed, gradually add sugar and beat until stiff yet glossy peaks are formed

Beat egg whites in small bowl with mixer on high speed until stiff peaks form. Add egg whites. The resulting German ChocolateCakewith Rum Glaze andButtercream is simply divine
