  • 1 teaspoon of mild red chile paste. (Mild Sambal or Red Serrano Chile Paste.)
  • 1/2 tablespoon of Sumac Berry Spice. (Sumac Berry Spice is available in Middle Eastern or Mediterranean Markets.)
  • 1/2 cup of all purpose flour
  • 1 whole skinned gutted catfish that weighs about 12 ounces Cut the catfish into 4 or 5 large pieces.
