Ingredients

  • 2 cups light cream, half-and-half or milk (whole or skim), or a combination
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1 1/4 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup of spiced or dark rum
  • 1 cup candied pecans (recipe below)
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
