I am a cream lover, and would have no issues topping copious amounts of cream and butter into my potatoes, but using cream cheese allows for a refreshing taste without feeling gross afterwards
I serve these herb, garlicandcheesepotatoeswith a creamy cream cheese dip. Just boil some baby potatoesand toss them in olive oil mixed withherbsandgarlicand pop them in an oven and you have a snack worthy of applauds

You can make it a day or two in advance too and just keep it in the fridge after (this stuff is fantastic spread on a crisp baguette then topped with goat cheeseand fresh tomatoes, or in a caeser salad, so make extra)
Meanwhile, rub steak all over with paprika, salt and pepper. In food processor, pulse together rutabaga, garlic, potatoes, sour cream, horseradish, salt and pepper until smooth
Mix the beef, onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper and form into 4 patties before frying in a pan until lightly golden brown on both sides and cooked though, about 3-7 minutes per side. Melt the butter in a pan over medium-high heat, add the mushroomsand onion and cook until the mushroom have released their moisture, it has cooked off and the mushrooms start to turn a light golden brown, about 13-15 minutes. Add the garlic, thyme and flour andand cook for 2 minutes, stirring. Add the broth, Worcestershire sauce, dijon mustard, salt and pepper, bring to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer until the gravy thickens, about 3-5 minutes. Butter one side of each slice of bread, sprinkle half of the cheese onto the unbuttered side of half of the slices of bread followed by the patties, 1 tablespoon of the gravy each, the remaining cheeseand finally top with the remaining slices of bread with the buttered side up. Grill over medium heat until golden brown and the cheese has melted, about 2-3 minutes per side, before serving topped with the remaining gravy or with the gravy on the side for dipping

Next, I mixed the potatoeswith whipping cream (you can substitute half-and-half or whole milk), garlic powder, a finely diced onion, melted butter, salt, pepper, a beaten egg, and some Parmesan and Swiss cheeses

We love ours always with mashed potatoesand a nice side vegetable. When you have all the other components of this dish ready then you can place the cube steaks in the hot mushroomand onion gravy and give a quick swirl to coat and warm up
