I have used kodo millet but you can also use barnyard millet, littlemillet or foxtail millet. In a heavy pan add the grated jaggery and add little water
So today tried this Thinai SakkaraiPongal / Foxtail MilletPongal. I did exactly like the way i do for SakkaraiPongal using Pressure cooker except the addition on saffron

SakkaraiPongal. SweetPongal. Nutmeg/ Jathikkai powder-pinch. Raw rice-1 1/2cups. Moong dal-1/2cup. Ghee/Clarified butter-100gms. Dilute the jaggery in 1/2cup water and bring to boil, allow the jaggery to boil on high heat for 5 mins. Pongal Recipes 1/2cup water
Here I used littlemillets also called Samai in Tamil to prepare quick adais. It is not so difficult, very time saving al most all millets require very little soaking time if planning to use them in dosa or idli prepation

LittleMillets/ Samai can be cooked two ways. Also, planting trees/ plants around our home are small steps towards cleaner air but will together make a huge difference
