Ingredients

  • 4 Red Snapper / Sankara Meen - Cleaned & Washed
  • small lemon sized tamarind ball - soaked in 1 cup water
  • 2 onions- finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes - finely chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp pepper powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp saunf / fennel seeds
  • 1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds / vendayam
  • salt to taste
  • 2-3 tbsp gingelly oil (or) any cooking oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 2 kalpasi / black stone flower
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1-2 tsp sambar powder
  • salt to taste
