  • 3 and contain calcium, iodine, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, and selenium. While my daughter eats sardines straight out of the package, I prefer to incorporate them into recipes. Here’s one of my favorites. This Mediterranean Sardine Spread is delicious on bagels or crackers. It’s one of the easiest ways to use sardines in a sardine recipe.
  • 1 (3 3/4 oz) can of sardines in oil, drained
  • 1 (4 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1 tsp dried dill weed
  • 2 tbsp prepared mustard
  • crackers or bagels
