Ingredients

  • 2 cups dry soy curls
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 2 potatoes, cubed
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 teaspoons beef-style seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon anise seed crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 small onion, cut in half-moon lives
