Ingredients

  • 250 g plain flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne
  • 100 g salted butter, chilled and cubes
  • 50 g finely grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 or 2 finely sliced and chopped spring onions
  • 1 large free-range egg, beaten
  • (a spot of milk if you need it)
  • salt and pepper
