Heat ghee in a vessel & once hot, roast the vermicelli on medium flame. Mom usually makes Sevai Kheer (her patent) for such occasions & I would fondly eat this in comparison to the other members of the Kheer family
After the rice soaks up the milk add the sago balls( this will thicken the kheer). - Now fry the nuts and sultanas in some ghee and add it to the kheer
If you wish the rice to be overcooked - just let it stay on the flame for another 15 to 20 minutes (I did it)Kheer is ready to be served hot, warm or cold - as you like it
