  • 4 lb Standing Rib Roast 1 tbsp salt 1 tbsp pepper 1 tbsp garlic powder Instructions In a small bowl combine salt, pepper and garlic powder Rub seasoning all over rib roast, making sure to get the ends as well Wrap roast in foil and place in refrigerator for 1-2 hours, up to 1 day Line a roasting pan, with a rack, with several layers of foil, you will thank me for this when it is time to clean up When ready to cook remove roast from refrigerator and unwrap from foil and let sit for 30 minutes on the rack of a roasting pan Preheat oven to 350 Cover roast with foil Cook for 1 1/2 hours in oven After 1 1/2 hours increase heat to 375 and remove foil, continue cooking for another 1 - 1 1/2 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 130 for medium rare or 140 for medium - to check internal temperature place an instant read thermometer into the roast in between the ribs in the middle of the roast Remove roast from oven and let sit for 15-20 minutes to let it finish cooking To serve remove roast to a cutting boars and using a very sharp knife slice roast, into slices and place on a serving platter ENJOY!!
