Ingredients

  • 1/2 lbs of fish chunked into pieces and set aside
  • 2 Tbs of vegetable oil in a heavy pan or kadhai
  • 1 tsp black mustard seed
  • 1/2 tsp fenugreek seed
  • 1 inch piece of finely chopped ginger
  • 4 green chilies splint longways down the middle
  • 1 crushed clove of garlic
  • 2 onions thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp of turmeric
  • 1 Tbs of coriander
  • 1 cup of coconut milk
  • 4 peeled, chopped tomatoes ( since there aren't any good fresh tomatoes around here about now, I might suggest one
  • 16 oz can of good quality chopped tomatoes)
