Ingredients

  • 30 mins
  • 4 cloves 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 mace - optional
  • 4 kaju (cashewnuts)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 cup basmati rice - soaked in water for 20 mins 1/2 cup crumbled paneer - homemade or store bought
  • 1/4 cup soya beans - soaked overnight
  • 1 carrot- finely chopped
  • 1 potato - finely sliced
  • 2 medium sized onions - finely chopped
  • 1 small tomato - diced into cubes
  • 1/2 cup mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup chopped coriander
  • 1 green chili
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala
  • salt to taste
