After a couple more attempts with questionable results and after watching a video by a delightful Italiancaramel-making guru, I finally came up with something that I would be happy to recommend that you splash over your Portuguese custard tarts
Allow it to cool. CaramelCustard /Flan or Creme caramel is a Custard Dessert prepared with Egg,milk and a top layer of caramel, this is my favorite dessert and nothing can beat this simple dish
The basic difference in between these two is that a plain custard do not have caramelized sugar as topping and is usually cooked in a saucepan while caramelcustard (creme caramel) or flan is a variation of custard with caramelized sugar as a coating and is usually cooked in a oven in a water bath
