  • 45 degrees With school closings and many businesses closing, I can't think of a better way to stay warm, than in my kitchen whipping up delicious things to eat!! This month I was assigned Sally's blog Bewitching Kitchen. Sally had a number of recipes I wanted to try such as; Black Olive Sourdough Bread, Saturday Morning Scones and a Cheese Souffle. I decided on
  • lb. flank steak, sliced thinly across the grain
  • lb. broccoli florets
  • 2 T grape seed oil
  • 1 yellow (green) bell pepper, seeded, cut in slices
  • 1 clove garlic, very finely minced
  • 1 sliced green onion, optional
  • 1 t cornstarch dissolved in 1 T water
  • For Beef Marinade
  • 1 t soy sauce
  • 1 t Chinese rice wine
  • 1/2 t cornstarch
  • fresh ground black pepper
  • For the Sauce
  • 2 T oyster sauce
  • 1 t Chinese rice wine
  • 1 T soy sauce
  • 1/4 c chicken broth
