For the book club dinner last week, I made a pitcher of StrawberryLemonade. In this summer heat, there are few things more refreshing than cold and icy, lightly sweetened, freshly squeezed lemonade
I just made some pink lemonade for the drink and then added some chopped strawberries to it. Along with pizza, we served chocolate-dipped strawberries, plain strawberries, Yellow Cupcakes with tasty Strawberry Buttercream Frosting (recipe below)
This cocktail recipe is the result of me ditching my computer for my kitchen. My life situation since the “Musings of a post-grad life…” post has, unfortunately, not changed – I am still on the hunt for employment
Combine the lemon juice with the sugar and mix until the sugar has dissolved in a pitcher. Puree the strawberries, mint and basil in a blender until smooth, then add to the pitcher
When ready to assemble, add 2 spoonfuls of strawberry puree to the bottom of 8 glasses. Place strawberries in a large bowl and crush with a potato masher
Cut the lemon and strawberries into pieces and add to the lemonade. Dissolve the sugar with a spoon in 500 ml / (2 cups and 2 tablespoons) water and let cool
As soon as I got home I set out to recreate the strawberry cheesecake sundae. I made homemade strawberry sauce but this is a super quick & simple dessert
