Stuffed dates wrapped with bacon

Ingredients

  • 20 dates pitted
  • ¼ cup sobrasada
  • ¼ cup Boursin or cream cheese
  • 20 thin slices of bacon
  • 3 tablespoons honey

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 180°C
    Stuff half of the dates with the cheese with the help of two dessert spoons or a pastry bag
    Stuff the rest of the dates with the sobrasada with the help of two dessert spoons or a pastry bag
    Wrap each date with the slices of bacon. If the slice is longer than two turns, you can cut it so that the bacon is not so thick and overpowers the date
    Arrange the dates on a tray with silicone mat with the part where the slice of bacon ends on the bottom to prevent it from opening
    Brush with a little honey. If the honey is too solid, microwave for 10 seconds
    Bake and when the bacon starts to brown turn around because the honey is going to melt, and we want all the date to caramelize
    Take out and serve on a platter
    Decorate with chopped chives, chopped cilantro or something Christmassy
