Tambli is a dish is from the Western coastal regions of Karnataka. There are many types of Tambli. I gladly used up a few leaves from this plant and enjoyed the flavorful tambli
So for the letter T, I did not even look for other dishes because I wanted to do Tambli. Tambli can best be described as a sort of cold soup made with a yogurt base and has a ground paste of seasonal vegetables/ herbs / spices
Menthe Tambli recipe is nothing but the South Indian version of a soup. Coriander Seeds Tambli. Menthe thambli is a South Indian yoghurt based side dish that is usually eaten along with piping hot steamed rice
I am really not sure why this spice mix is called Menthya hittu. That's because only one to two tea spoons of Menthya aka fenugreek seeds go into this powder

Here is one more variety of Tambli from my kitchen. Tambli is a raw curry which goes well with rice. Especially during summer, cool side dishes like Tambli are more preferable than hot Sambar

So, when I saw them selling this also, I thought it was for that purpose only, but then, one of the ladies told me about this dish with it, named ' Tambli ' or ' Tambuli ' ( Udipi Cuisine ) and I also got the recipe for it
