Because tartarsauce has such a special taste to it, it can be very disappointing when you buy ready made tartarsauce and it turns out to be just mayonnaise with an extra flavor to it, rather than being its own sauce
I was at my mother’s for lunch and she had leftover fish but no tartarsauce and alas this recipe was born (you can’t have a fish sandwich without tartarsauce… in my world anyway
I put my husband in charge of buttering & toasting the buns (as I was cooking the patties) and he used quite a bit of butter- lol- these were so good though

Well I had some Ling Cod in the freezer from my Husbands fishing trip he took a few months ago so I thought it would be fun to do a bunch of Beer Battered Fish n Chips and what better to serve it with than Homemade TartarSauce… and some Hand-Cut French Fries
Spur of the moment, mix together in a few minutes tartarsauce. If you can make the sauce a few hours ahead of serving time, the flavors will have time to blend
