Ingredients

  • 1 lemon size tamrind
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 3 red chillies
  • 1/2 tsp asafoetida powder
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 1/2 tbsp coriander seeds
  • 5 red chillis
  • 1 tbsp chana dal
  • 2 tsp split udad dal
  • 1/2 tsp Fenugreek seeds
  • 1 tsp pepper corns
  • 2 tsp Sesame Seeds
  • 2 1/2 tbsp Gingelly Oil / sesame oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 2 tsp Channa dal
  • 2 tbsp peanuts or cashewnuts
  • some Curry Leaves for garnish
