  • 1/2 stick (4 tablespoons) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 4 eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/3 cups buttermilk and/or whole milk
  • 1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 2/3 cup creamy peanut butter (no-stir)
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons meringue powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3-4 tablespoons milk
  • 4 ounces heavy cream
  • 3 ounces bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup salted, roasted peanuts, roughly chopped
