Ingredients

  • 400 grams fresh sausage links (I've used large pork bratwurst)
  • 1 medium onion, sliced (I've used red)
  • 2 cups beef (or vegetable) broth
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 3 eggs, beaten really well
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 good dash of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon grainy mustard
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons bacon fat or lard, to grease the skillet
