I know that a lot of people like to have turkeyfor Christmas dinner as well as Thanksgiving. Perhaps people are adding too much salt, which then is too much for gravy
Growing up in the heart of Pennsylvania, jerky was like turkey on Thanksgiving. The discovery of Jerky allowed humans to both store food for long periods of time and have an easily carried, dense source of nutrition to take with them on journeys
Put in freezer 1-2 hours to get firm before slicing. Pour over meat in bag and let marinate for 12-24 hours. Dehydrate for 4-6 hours until jerky is to your liking
Place in refrigerator to firm up before removing the string. Trim the turkey breast so that it's a more oval shape (which means cutting pieces off the neck end, that you will use later)
Mix all ingredients in a pot and simmer for five minutes. Proceed to grill, fry or roast yourturkey. Using an injecttion needle inject liquid into the turkey throughout all the breast and thighs
