  • 3/4 cup pecans (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup vegan margarine (I used Earth Balance-1 stick)
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups unleavened gluten-free baking flour
  • 1/4 cup sanding sugar (or raw sugar)
  • fresh ground nutmeg (or other spice-optional)
