Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon chilled butter, cut into small pieces
  • 3/4 cup low fat buttermilk (or 3/4 cup low fat milk plus 2 teaspoons vinegar, set for 5 minutes)
