Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 1 quart duck fat
  • 1 large cucumber
  • 1 large carrot
  • ½ cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • Hoisin sauce
  • Mix the five spice powder and the salt together
  • Mix together the rice vinegar and the sugar and
  • Soak the julienned carrots for at least 30 minutes
