Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp apricot jam (or preserves, chopped very fine)
  • *5 oz all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 generous tbsp butter
  • *3 1/2 oz butter
  • 3/4 cup cream or milk (both work!)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 c whole milk or heavy cream
