  • 5 Cups water
  • 4 inches Clip a thermometer to the side and heat the oil to 350˚ F. Meanwhile, line a tray with paper towels. Working in small batches (no more than 6 at a time), slide the balls into the oil and fry until golden brown. They only require a couple of minutes. Don’t overcrowd the pot, they need room to evenly brown. Drain the bitterballen on paper towels.
