They probably taste a bit sweeter than the yellow ones but it was more the vibrant color that sparked my interest to use it as one of the ingredients in my cake/ next dessert
I'm using the healthful trans fat free Alfa One Rice Bran Oil to bake my cake and reckon you can use any neutral tasting oil like corn oil or vegetable oil to bake this cake too

I also like it as it's not too sweet, just to my liking, definitely a nice tea time treat. I wonder why this cake is called Japanese Dark Pearl ChiffonCake but it had been very popular among many food bloggers
