This is rather my "first post" on making a proper Pandan Chiffon Cake using tube pan (similar to an angel food cakepan) method rather than the previous two (recipes) I made using HappyCallPan (HCP)
Happy Baking. Or call me a crazy baking woman. the pandan and the gula Melaka cake layers. Discard the pandan leaves and allow the syrup to cool completely at room temperature
Happy baking. Although there are many pandan chiffon cake recipes available online, I haven't found one to my comfort because most of the recipes bake using the traditional whole cakepan and most importantly, almost all recipes call for fresh pandan leaves and freshly squeezed coconut milk
If you use a hand whisk at this stage, you will be happy that there won't be much to clean. It is called magic because it makes a thin cake batter which eventually produces a cake with three distinct layers after baking
Happy Baking. Call me an old school person but I can be really picky with the thickness of my lapis. Some variations includes almonds, cashew nuts, dried fruits like prunes or dried cranberries and some are flavoured with chocolate or pandan
I would be more than happy if you can post in the Group for the recipes that you tried from my blog. Even the name koci, mochi or Chinese called glutionous rice cake 糯米滋 (nuomichi) are all end with the syllable “ci” or “chi”… Are they related
HappyCall Double-sided Pressure Pan. Pandan Chiffon Cake. Pineapple Upside-down Cake. It's only a few months back that this "HappyCall Double-Sided Pressure Pan" has finally makes it way into many kitchens in Singapore and Malaysia after a year or so in Singapore
For me, even though I might love to experiment different dishes or bakes in the kitchen, still I would always go for simple and easy to prepare recipes with either steamed or oven baked method if I am not using my reliable HappyCallPan
