I get to take the time once a month and write specifically about a delicious recipe InaGarten, the Barefoot Contessa, has put in one of her wonderful cookbooks or on her tv show
Last night, we had a few neighbors over for an impromptu meal and I’m happy to say everything turned out as I’d hoped – especially this Pumpkin Roulade with Ginger Buttercream {by InaGarten} that we served for dessert
Because InaGartenis…well…InaGarten. I am not very discriminatory when it comes to books about food, but more and more, I find myself reaching for those that are more suited to family meals rather than, say, a cocktailparty or specialty meals
While I am certain many classically trained chefs would dismiss his ideas, they are perfect for home cooks and culinary students, helping us make meals that turn out perfectly every time
Welcome once again to InaGarten First Fridays. this month it's appetizers. It was difficult to choose, as Ina does such a great job with nibbles forcocktail parties
When I first saw InaGarten (aka Barefoot Contessa) make this, I was shocked at how simple it is, but knew the method would add intense flavor and give one of our favorites a boost
