Then came an array of Dakshin delights for the Prarambham (starters) - Dakshin Yera (Masala coated fried prawns), Kozhi Roast (Slow roast spring chicken marinated with Chef’s special masala), Mutton Sukka (Dry preparation of tender lamb morsels cooked with black pepper, cumin and fresh coriander leaves), Chettinad Kozhi (Drum Sticks of chicken cooked in a thick masala of green chilli, fresh coriander and a blend of south), Meen Varuval(Seer fish darns marinated with juice of green chillies and black pepper powder and grilled on a hot plate), for the first time I was in dilemma to decide my favorite, whether it was mutton, chicken drumstick or fish each was cooked till perfection, full of bursting flavors, mouth melting and best part each has distinctive taste profile

Coming to the starters, we were first offered the Chilly Garlic prawns. Some dishes I can remember are Chicken Stroganoff, Mandarin Fish, Sukka Gosht, Dhaniya Chicken, Paneer Butter Masala, Gatte ki Subzi, Palak Dal, Andhra Chicken Biryani, etc

 You could find frozen 'Bimblees'  gifted  by a neighbour with a tree, for those delicious Mangalorean Daaliso Saar with Bimblees (lentil soups) or 'Ambades' (hog plums for those spicy prawn curries),  or wild game could be wild bird , boar or deer that was found on a friend of a friends estate for those delicious Sukka's (meat in a dry spice paste with Coconut) or  Goan sausages, varieties of fish and meat, ground spice pastes ready to make a delicious fish curry or  left over pork sorpotel from Easter

I would like to add Fish curry and PrawnsSukka as a side dish to this.   When you visit these Mangalorean restaurants and ask for neer dosa's, they surely very recommend having this with Koli( means Chicken) Curry or Mangalorean style Chicken Sukka
