The other day I felt like having some kidney beans side dish for lunch, to go with rice and appam. I have been searching for a simple kidney beans recipe on the internet, and I stopped at the Rajma Rasmisa recipe of the famous chef SanjeevKapoor
Serve hot with rice or rotis. I have been looking for something new to cook with this fantastic beans and i found this lipsmacking rajma curry at Chef SanjeevKapoor's Khanna Khazana
, Sarson do saag with makki ke rotis (mustard greens with corn roti), Bhatura and pindi chole (puffy maida puri with channa) Rajma with Jeera chawal (red kidney beans with cumin rice) Aloo paratha with dahi (potato paratha with curd) Dal Makhani with tandoori roti (black gram& red beans curry with roti cooked in tandoor oven)
Pick, wash and soak sabut urad and rajma overnight in three cups of water. Serve hot with some steaming white rice with a dollop of ghee or some hot phulka's or paratha's
Now add the cooked rajma and mix well. This dish has a South Indian flavor to it and it goes very well not only with pulkas or parathas, but also with rice
