Since I discovered an excellent commercial gluten freeyeast bread pre-mixes in a box, I realised that nothing stops me to have them baked in a baguette shape
The first approach resulted in recipes for gluten free, mainly wholegrain bread, based on yeast dough, with the absolute minimum of ingredients on the list, baked in all shapes and sizes, starting from bread rolls and baguettes, and ending with medium size loaf and mini loaves
Before this discovery, I accepted the fact, that as a coeliac, I would never be able to have proper, real bread, or dumplings, or bake complicated yeast dough pastries, I was so fond of in my early years
In a large bowl add luke warm water, sugar, and a packet of active dry yeast. Cover and let it rest in a warm draft free space (microwave oven) until it doubles in size
So if you are not gluten intolerant or Celiac, you can make Crostini in moments notice with your normal fresh baked baguette that I see at every single grocery store
active dry yeast. Whether you’re going on a picnic, packing a healthy lunch, toasting up some bread slices for dipping in oil or hummus or just to soak up sauce from your pasta dish baguettes are the way to go—-crisp & crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy in the middle they are perfect for any occasion
Make sure that the yeast and the salt do not touch each other when adding it to the flour. Cover the dough with a plastic wrap and let it rise in a draft free place until the dough doubles in volume
In the bowl of a food mixer, mix the water with the yeast. But what I was most excited about, and inspired me to make this bread, was the free printable French bread wrappers that I found on Heather Bullard/ Lifestyle blog
